How To Subscribe to NASSS List Server
Members of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport are invited to subscribe to NASSServ, the unofficial listserv of NASSS. To do so, simply follow the instructions below.
NASSServ is administered and maintained by Michael Malec (Boston College). If you have any problems using NASSServ, please feel free to contact him via email at:

to NASSServ: Send an electronic mail message to this address:majordomo@listserv.bc.edu
The body of the message should say ONLY the following
subscribe nassserv
This message is forwarded to Mike Malec. To be eligible to subscribe to NASSServ either your NASSS or ISSA dues must be paid for the current year. After your request is approved you will receive an acknowledgment of your subscription and you will be able to receive and post messages.
TO SEND
a message/distribute information to the whole group, post it to the following address:nassserv@listserv.bc.edu
The message will be distributed to all subscribing members. If you have any problems, contact Michael Malec at the email address above.

The server that we use understands the following commands. Commands that you wish to use should be sent in the body of an email message to this address:

To find out who belongs to NASSServ, send the command:

To retrieve the general introductory information for NASSServ, send the command:
info nassserv
to majordomo@listserv.bc.edu
end (This command enables you to stop processing commands. Include it at end of your message. Useful if your mailer adds a signature, institutional address, etc.)
Remember, Commands for subscribing or unsubscribing, including membership searches should be sent in the body of an email message (nothing in "subject area") to:
majordomo@listserv.bc.edu and NOT to NASSServ@listserv.bc.edu
