| Humanities Luncheons 2002-2003
During the 2002-03 year the Humanities Institute will sponsor 6 luncheons where noted humanities faculty members will informally describe their work in the context of their discipline, before an opening of general conversation. We hope to initiate conversations among people with various interests in several fields so that we can all better understand current work in the humanities. Linkage Through Language German Film Series, Fall 2002 Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m., Arjona 105 Linkage Through Language is an innovative instructional project combining the study of foreign languages with course work in other disciplines. It allows students to apply their language skills to selected courses in a variety of disciplines. After much thought and discussion, the Human Rights Planning and Faculty committees chose a permanent name for this program: The UConn Human Rights Initiative: From Ideas to Action.
