Course Requirements |
The course is composed of a series of
lectures, some of which involve class discussion. There is a text by Ashcroft
(see Syllabus) which covers much, but not all, of the material.
There are supplemenatry readings which fill in some of the gaps, but only the
lectures provide the whole picture. I determine grades on the basis of two
midterms and a final exam. The lowest
midterm grade will be dropped. Class
participation can also have an influence in borderlined cases.
