Internship Journal

Journal

You are required keep a journal which includes a daily account of the work you do at your placement. Include your thoughts and feelings regarding that work. The journal should include observations and analysis of placement operations and any larger issues that relate to seminar readings, assignments, and/or discussions. It may also be helpful if you make a brief entry in your journal after each seminar so that you may further explore insights regarding the connections among the assigned material, your internship, and/or your personal and professional life. Your journal is primarily for you to write about the ways you are integrating the academic and experiential aspects of your internship experience. (Such as how the readings and class discussions are exemplified or challenged by your work experience.) In addition, you may add to your journal whatever is helpful for you.

I will collect your journal three times during the semester (See the Course Schedule for those dates.)

You may send your journal to me by e-mail or turn it in on the assigned dates. Journals may be typed or NEATLY written. If you hand write your journal, it is best to do so on single sheets of paper ( such as loose leaf) so you can turn in just the pages you have completed. If you have any questions regarding your journal, send me a message by clicking on the mailbox below.
