1. Read all the assignments for this week paying particular attention to the reserve readings on "Three Contemporary Responses" to Susan B. Anthony. Consider how each woman views the expectations and realties of women in the 1990's.
2. Consider what you learned from watching the film "One Woman, One Vote" , as well as your readings, and analyze why some of this information may not have been covered in your high school (and/or college) American History Classes.
3. Critically assess the impact of the silencing of much of women's "herstory" on the way women today view both their current situation and the on-going contribution of feminists working for women's rights.
4. Compose your letter to Susan B. and/or Elizabeth explaining:
- * what you have learned about their contributions to the struggle for women's rights,
- * where women are today (use examples from your readings)
- * what still needs to be accomplished, and
- * what you are going to do to continue their work.
You may e-mail your response or you may turn in your paper during class.
