Service
Kenta has been an active member of Delta Omicron since fall 2004 when he went through with Beta Upsilon. In his first year in the UCMB, he was elected freshman representative for the UCMB council. He was also elected for senior representative for the 2006 season.
Major
Kenta applied to the University of Connecticut as a Chemical Engineering major but has switched and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s of science in engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. His interest is in Biomaterials and hopes to become a clinical engineer and work at hospitals.
Music
Kenta started his music career on the piano back when he lived in Japan. He learned how to play the saxophone in 4th grade. In high school Kenta marched competitively for three years with the New Providence Pioneers Marching. In his junior year he played the tenor saxophone and returned to the alto saxophones as a section leader his senior year in which the band was New Jersey state champions and USSBA champions in its group. He was also involved with the concert band and jazz band during high school. In college Kenta entered the UCMB as an alto saxophone. Since then he has switched to the mellophone section for his sophomore and junior year and is also involved with Husky Band.
