Deborah has taught many types of ESL learners from engineers of the Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco to her current position where she teaches students in the English Language Institute at Syracuse University. She received her Masters degree from Syracuse University in Linguistics and English as a Second Language. Don worked as a classroom teacher and reading specialist in California. He is currently a professor in the School of Education at Syracuse University and author of numerous books, articles, and software devoted to supporting teachers in literacy education and electronic learning environments. He received his Ed.M from Harvard and his Ph.D. in Language and Literacy from the University of California, Berkeley. Deborah enjoys her perenial flower garden, while Don enjoys fly fishing. They both enjoy spending time with their two daughters. |
