This is the new home of the University of Connecticut's Pre-Dental Society. This organization is dedicated to helping students reach their goals in the field of dentistry. We will regulary hold meetings regarding upcoming events, dental-related speakers, trips to dental colleges, and informative seminars. On the left are several links to browse. The links contain helpful information regarding current officers, links to dental schools, information about how to join, and other useful information.

  • It is will great sadness that the Pre-Dental Society reports the unfortunate passing of Emeritus Professor of Chemistry John Tanaka. Dr. Tanaka has served the Department of Chemistry and the University of Connecticut for over forty-five years, as well as serving as the Director of the Honors Program. In addition, Dr. Tanaka served as the faculty advisor for the Pre-Dental Society. On April 14, 2012, Dr. Tanaka passed away at the age of eight-seven years old due to complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease or ALS. A Memorial Service will be held at the Storrs Congregational Church on May 4 at 10:30AM. Dr. Tanaka’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made “In Memory of John Tanaka” to the Professor Tanaka Fund for Innovative Undergrade Advising.   • Participate in the 2012 ADEA Dental School Virtual Fair on June 26-27. Registration is free. Go to http://tiny.cc/2012DSVF.
  • Our new advisor to the first, second, and third year students is Dr. James Stuart. If you'd like to meet up with him send an email to james.stuart@uconn.edu or call him at 860-214-1478. His preferred time for a meeting is either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 8am-5pm in either R419 or A213 of the Chemistry Building.
