Overview

Crosstown Schools

The United States Air Force ROTC program at Detachment 115 enables students to fulfill their obligations to becoming an officer in the United States Air Force while at the same time pursuing a college degree.

During their freshmen and sophomore years, cadets will be members of the Initial Military Training (IMT) and Field Training Prep (FTP). Cadets will learn and practice the basic skills needed to be a member of the Air Force and to successfully complete field training. Field Training is usually a four week summer program in between the sophomore and junior years, and upon successful completion, cadets will become members of the Professional Officer Corps (POC).  POC cadets will plan and execute Leadership Laboratory every Thursday while mastering the necessary skills that will be required of them when they are commissioned.

Upon completion of their academic requirements at their respective schools, cadets will take the Oath of Office and be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
